The driver (yes, we rented a car : kijang innova with the driver to take us around Bali) picked us at 7am WITA which means 6am in Jakarta! We hurried took a shower and had breakfast at the hotel resto. I had chicken porridge and omelet.
First stop, Bali Safari Park. The ticket was quite expensive, it costs Rp 75.000,-/person if you want to purchase “tiket terusan” (a visit to Marine Park) it costs around US$245/person. After our ticket was scanned, we headed to the bus stop. I thought this first bus stop will take us to the “animal park” but it wasn’t, it only takes us to the second stop. And 5 minutes later, the bus came. People were scrambled to the bus (ngantri donk!).
At the second stop, there’s a small fish pond, small crocodile pond, and Mynah bird cage. We go a little further, there’s a small shop there, a giant elephant statue, and here comes the next bust stop which will take us to the real park. It’s crowded but the visitors are queuing nicely, unlike in the first stop. We sit in front of the bus, and there’s a tour guide! The park was beautiful, neat, unlike Taman Safari Puncak. But the animals are not so many. There’s a lodge in the middle of the forest and a restaurant inside the tiger park. Great view but a bit scary ;p
After 30 mins of driving around the park, the bus took us to the bus stop. After that my family took a picture with the tiger (who was really lazy, he sleeps all day!). Each person costs Rp 30.000,-.
Hungry, lunch time! My dad wanted to have Bebek Bengil (Dirty Duck Diner) located in Ubud. The restaurant was crowded, a lot of foreign tourists too. Lucky we were #1 in the waiting list, so we didn’t queue so long. We ordered their crispy duck package. The duck was really BIG! I can’t eat it myself but it was delicious. The view was great too. On the back of the resto, there’s a green rice field. A must visit restaurant while you’re in Bali :)
After our stomach was full, we went to the Monkey Forest Temple where you can see … well… monkeys. The baby monkey is really cute ya. *gemes* The youngsters have mohawk hair :p
From Monkey Forest, we went to Tanah Lot. There, I touched the “Holy snake”. Took photos everywhere. And after that we went to Kresna to shop for souvenirs for our relatives and friends in Jakarta.
My digicam battery was dead when we’re in Bali Safari :-w So I relied on our 2mp phone cameras and my dad’s 5mp cepphone camera. I’ve learnt my lesson: always charge the battery before going to somewhere even the battery meter is full! And my sis’ SE W910i PWNED my N76 camera. nokia camera sucks!
