Remember my last blog post? So finally I managed to get there with my sister. Armored with t-shirt, comfy sandal, a bag, and my pink digicam, I went there at 6. Not really crowded. Waiting … waiting … and waiting for 30 minutes, no sign of carnival, all I can see is people’s heads. See how crowded the street was :
This is the time when you can walk around freely without any cars around. This is not happening everyday. You can walk in the middle of the street without worrying about anything.
And here came the cosplayers. I don’t know what the connection of Jakarta Fashion & Food Festival with cosplayers. Fashion? I mean, it’s not a Japanese event :|
Bored, the carnival still not arrived yet, so I decided to go inside the mall and had dinner. My stomach was empty. Hungry and tired of walking. Besides, the street was already full, it’s not easy to walk freely anymore. So I went to La Piazza and checked the hawker food stalls inside. The price is higher than usual. There’s no place to sit too, so I didn’t buy anything :( Btw, martabak medan had the longest queue. I wonder how it tastes. Anyone has tried it before?
There’s an old Batavia house inside the hawker area. You can’t see this kind of house in Jakarta. Well maybe it’s still available in some area but it’s very rare.
After eating at Raa Cha (Thai shabu shabu), we went back home. My house is located not far from the Mall. So we didn’t bring our car. My house to the mall only 5 minutes away by walking :D Near huh? :D On the way home, I met this big couple. Let me introduce you to the lovely couple of Ondel-ondel :D Ondel ondel is a giant puppet mascot from Betawi
That’s my story from JFFF 2009. A lot of people are bringing their DSLR camera.
