We spent DAY 5 (October 2, 2009) by shopping.
Before we went around the city, I had breakfast at Takashimaya. This time I tried Pad Thai. It tasted good but there’s something missing in the food. MSG kayaknya :)) This was my first time eating Pad Thai and I made an assumption that this is Thai version of Kway teow (kwetiau goreng).
After breakfast, we took MRT to China Town.Turun aja di Chinatown keluar2 udah jalanan Chinatown deh.
The sun shone so brightly that day and the weather was so hot. I bought souvenirs for my friends and of course took a lot of photos of the building B-)
Suddenly, right after we finished shopping, the weather changed. It’s getting darker. We took MRT again and rode to Bugis. When we reached Bugis the rain was pouring really hard. We walked around Bugis Junction Mall. There’re a lot of delicious food stalls there. Looked yummy xD
I managed to eat 2 Roti Prata and Teh Tarik. It’s so delicious! xD Different from Martabak Har’s.
Some of my friends wanted to see where they sell cheap electronic goodies. They said electronics in Singapore is cheaper than in Indonesia because pajak nya ga terlalu tinggi. Dunnow ya, but I think it’s the same lah. I admit there’re some goodies which are cheaper than in Mangga Dua. And you can find a lot of China cellphones. You can get iPhone-wannabe phones, Blackberry-wannabe phones, mp3s etc. Katanya sih biar ga ditipu harus bisa ngomong Chinese sama yg punya biar dikasih murah. cang cing cung deh sana klo mo niat beli :D
So finally after battling which IT malls we should go (Funan or Sim Lim), we decided to go to Sim Lim. Funan is ‘nicer’ tempatnya, kalau Sim Lim kayak Mangga Dua. So maybe the price is cheaper in Sim Lim. hehe :p Dengan pertimbangan itu berangkatlah kita ke Sim Lim (That’s why we took train to Bugis)
We went back to our apartment around 4-5pm. The rain already stopped.
I met Selvy again and my other friend. Because it’s already late we decided to eat at Yoshinoya, inside Takashimaya.
We walked around Orchard Road and took a lot of pictures but most of my images are blurry *sigh* Here’re some fine shots
